Donations
SAV Inc. is administered and operated by unpaid volunteers who give of their time, experiences, their interpersonal and administrative skills and are driven by their deep concern for the prevention of stroke.
But, our most important activity is the support we provide to those who are struggling with the affects of stroke and the need to adapt to a modified life-style after a stroke.
Finances are needed by SAV if this organisation is to remain a viable, vibrant and effective advocate in the broader community. We assist the bottom line; the people who are the stroke survivors and the carers. The carers are a group of people who are often and easily over-looked because they are not the ones who have had the stroke BUT they are just as affected.
SAV does NOT undertake or participate in stroke research. We don't have the financial resources to be able to undertake this type of work, our primary purpose is to help those affected by stroke. Where does our operating money come from? We receive some core operating grants from the State Government, we receive membership fees from our members, we receive small amounts of memoriam donations and donations from people wishing to support the work of SAV.
If you would like to give a Donation, amounts over Two dollars are tax deductible, it can be can be made on-line. You can also make a Bequest.Just click on the MAKE A DONATION TO STROKE VIC icon and follow the instructions, it is as simple as that.
