Paula has been an integral part of the SAV team since 2016. During this time, she has been responsible for communications & community engagement, grants & partnerships and the day to day operations of the SAV head office.

Paula holds a Bachelor of Business Management and draws upon her knowledge, skills & experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, HR/Recruitment Systems & Finance within the Clothing Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Financial Services and Mining industries.

In 2018, Paula founded a Carer Support Group for parents and carers of Autistic children and has continued volunteering as the Group Leader and Facilitator to date.

“I made a decision before joining SAV that I wanted to move away from the Corporate/For Profit sector to an organisation that makes a difference. In 2009, I lost my dad to stroke. It was devastating and completely unexpected, given how young he was. Years later, with the news of my eldest’s medical diagnosis, the role of “carer” was added to my role as “mum”. My lived experience, coupled with my passion to make a difference in people’s lives, is what drives me every day in my role with SAV.
