The Stroke Association of Victoria has recognised the need for making stroke support more geographically accessible and has developed an online stroke support program. The program is run via the ZOOM platform (unless otherwise specified) and is open to stroke survivors and their carers across Victoria, no matter where they are located.
The online stroke support program provides stroke survivors & their carers with COVIDsafe access to skill development activities, educational talks, and social connection with peers. Details of our online support program are outlined below.

Conversations with a Stroke Survivor
Stroke Survivors across Victoria are welcome to join our online “Conversations with a Stroke Survivor” sessions, which are facilitated by our Stroke Support Centre Coordinators. Stroke survivors will hear from a member of our Stroke Community, who will share their personal experiences of living with the effects of stroke, in a safe and supported environment.
Check out our ‘Events’ page to view the dates of upcoming sessions.
Online Educational Talks
We host a guest speaker each month to share their knowledge, skills, and expertise. There’s a different stroke-related topic each month, ranging from healthy eating, to exercise, to accessing financial or community support.
Check out our ‘Events’ page to view the dates of upcoming sessions.
Our Centre Coordinators provide one on one in-person, phone, and email support with COVIDsafe measures in place, as advised by the Victorian Government. Contact details and availability can be found on each Centre’s respective website page.
